About Ivy Deals

We help CFOs, finance leaders and professionals to address the accounting implications of complex transactions.

A specialist network, not a fixed team

The firm is led by its full-time Managing Partner. We have a network of experienced independent professionals with complementary expertise across transaction accounting, IFRS and complex financial reporting.

Rather than maintaining a large team on a permanent basis, we draw on the specialist in our network whose experience fits the matter.

Managing Partner

Irfan Mustafa specialises in IFRS, technical accounting and the financial reporting implications of complex transactions.

Irfan has worked with A. F. Ferguson & Co., a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Assurance and Business Advisory Services. He has served as a Senior Consultant at IBM Pakistan providing advisory on financial processes.

Irfan has been teaching IFRS to students of professional bodies and finance professionals. He is up to date on latest developments in IFRS and is part of technical IFRS discussions within the professional community. He acts as a focal point of professional accounting examination and assessment. This requires rigorous interpretation on the applicability of IFRS under different scenarios and clarity to support complex accounting conclusions.

Irfan has taught IFRS to more than 1,000 finance professionals, many of whom still come to him when a transaction raises a question the standards do not answer directly. Ivy Deals was established when those conversations began turning into full engagements.

Accounting Clarity for Complex Transactions

Independent IFRS advisory on complex transactions. We are not auditors.

We do not audit. Ivy Deals provides accounting advice only, which means we can take a position on a contentious matter without the independence constraints that apply to your auditors — and without any interest in the answer that is easiest to sign.
